Do you remember when hip hop music made way for profanity to become a part of normal language? While it might have seemed to have started later, it actually began in the early 1980’s. It certainly makes me appreciate modern artists like Tom MacDonald who point out the damage that this has caused. 

 

Over time, it started to feel less offensive and ‘cooler’ to call and be called words like a bitch.

 

My seven-year-old nephew shocked me at the Thanksgiving dinner table this year by referring to everyone as ‘bro.’
